Would you say so? I mean, sure, it used to be, but idk...we have some interesting games coming out. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, FE12 (FE2 remake)...not to mention the great games that recently came out such as Super Mario Galaxy 2. |

It's the best it's been since the DS launched, probably even better than the SNES/N64 eras but we're nostalgia tards. /thread |

I'm just going to ignore Troy and take my argument from that to another thread. Anyhow, on topic. The 3DS looks promising if the gimmick pays off which I'm hoping it will. I'm excited for the new Donkey Kong game and the Kid Icarus game that's coming out, not to mention Disney's Epic Mickey looks fantastic. I'm probably going to buy Epic Mickey just for the art, and hope that the game itself is good. What are you guys looking forward to? |

I don't get it, Llama. You dismiss my point entirely, and yet the rest of your post essentially supports the very point you dismissed. I'm looking forward to Donkey Kong, Goldeneye (even if it'll be worse than the original it'll still be the best of its kind on the Wii), Kirby's Epic Yarn, and pretty much everything concerning the 3DS. On that note, the only thing I'm worried about the 3DS is that it'll be too good, and therefore will cost a hell of a lot of dinero or be a massive disappointment or something...essentially, too good to be true. |

I apologize, I read your post wrong. I took it as you were just being negative and such, then when you end a post with /thread it's saying that nobody else's input matters. Anyhow, the 3DS still is on the edge for me.... for a few reasons... but mainly because of my eyes. I don't know if the 3D effect will even really work with me without straining my broken eyes... so I am definitely going to have to try it out quite a bit before actually dropping the cash on it. |

I know how you feel. Both my eyes suck but one's much worse than the other, so 3D visuals have always looked off to me. (Except for Avatar, oddly enough. I think that might be because Avatar's 3D effect were far more subtle than usual.) For that reason, I'm kinda worried about the booming popularity of 3D in general. Then again, the user's eyes will be closer to the 3DS than they would be to a 3DTV or movie screen. Hopefully it'll work out, given that I'm shortsighted. Dunno about you, though. |

The best part in my opinion about the 3D in the 3DS is the ability to shut off the 3D effect, then you don't have to worry about having your head at the perfect distance/angle for the effect to work. I am looking forward to it coming out just for the Mario Kart possibility as well as a portable Starfox 64 But then that's not really anything new, you can only milk the same cow so much, I mean i just don't know how many more ports of Ocarina of Time they can make before people start getting bored. I know they have new games coming out too but when you debut a new system (hand held or not) you would think they wouldn't need ports of old games to get people excited. |

No hard feelings, Llama. ^.^ I agree with Xan on the fact that at least the 3D's optional, although I guess that ruins the focal point of the system just as well. As far as games go, I think they're going a very comfortable route, combining new titles with old. I mean, look at the launch list for the original DS and compare it to 3DS's. You will be overwhelmed. Although I personally think they should remake, say, Majora's Mask as opposed to Ocarina of Time, considering the differing amount of exposure they've received, but that's really not a huge deal... |

Are you ok, sir? Nothing had you excited? Donkey Kong, Zelda, Goldeneye, Kirby, 3DS, Kid Icarus, Paper Mario...nothing? |
