The Big D is back, so it's time to bring some life back into this joint... Alright, Yoshi was one of the pioneers of TNZ, amazing admin, probably the greatest internet friend I ever made apart from Meta, but she hasn't posted here in over 6 months. So sadly, I'm going to have to return her to an LM. But oh no no, this doesn't mean that me and Lavos will be the only admins left. I have decided to replace her with (god I hope I don't regret this) Troy. Congrats buddy. And I've just about given up on trying out these big "events" =P It just doesn't work for us if you haven't noticed. I'm going to try more subtle things that will bring this place up. Wait and see. |

Welcome back Big D! Please change your sn to that. I miss Yoshi, but what're ya gonna do? I appreciate the promotion; hopefully we can jumpstart this place so it becomes more than just a title. Hit me up with your ideas (somehow), I'll help out, obviously. Will be brainstorming too... |

Alright Troy, actually we have a separate admin board for that. But I'll also try to use AIM/MSN more if you're on. That's an easy way to communicate. Everyone else can help as well. Even if you're not a staff member or don't have a special rank, just for sticking around here I consider you guys leaders of TNZ. Post any ideas on this thread. |

Yay me! I think consolidating a bit would be good, we dont use a lot of the boards and topics are easily lost I mean if we pick up enough there is nothing wrong with putting them back in but were like a small dog in a big house, its just not right |

I don't instant message anymore. The Facebook bug caught me like a beggar. I say that considering how small the community is right now, we forget about the admin exclusive board (perhaps sans very preliminary ideas) and keep improvements in this very thread. Xan's right, we don't need as many boards we do right now. I say we do something like... -Town Hall board, for announcements -Nintendo board, self-explanatory -Other Systems board, also self-explanatory -General Discussion board, for discussion of any sort -Rec Room, which would house forum games, RPs, fanfics, and spam (basically, anything non-serious...this would probably be the most active board considering how much it houses, but all these things on their own contribute little to the community) -LM/Mod/Admin exclusive board, for when activity does pick up Also, whatever happened to Smash Camp? I know not too many people from here participated, but those who did (like me) were able to garner some new members that way... |

Troy's adminship worries me, just throwing that out there right now. He's shown nothing but disrespect to not only you D, but the site as a whole for at least the last year and his posts have been getting on my nerves more and more. Alternatively, Is there an ignore feature on this forum?... is there a way so that Troy's comments just don't show up at all for me? |

Llama: there actually is an ignore feature, under "Profile Settings" in the user's profile. I don't know if it would make his posts invisible or just block PMs, though. I'm not sure it'd be entirely practical, given that we're a tiny group at the moment, but the option's there. But anyway. Congrats Troy, make us proud =) I'm good with tightening up the board structure, but I think the Rec Room should still be a category rather than a forum, with individual front page forums for spam/games, serious discussion, general discussion, and creative work. Given that it's the only part of the board that's still getting regular activity, having multiple threads of various types wrestling for the front page will stifle discussion more than anything (in small forums the "Last Post" thread gets way more attention than the others). |
