I must sadly announce that Meta has decided to retire as an admin of TNZ. But as he retires, I would like to explain all the great things he has done for us. Meta has a really deep history with TNZ, being one of the first members to join. He joined when TNZ was only a few months old, and was extremely inactive (only about 500 posts total, and about 5-10 posts a day, some days no posts). Sure, we had a few people who came here, the ones you would know being myself, Wailmer, and B.A.M., but there wasn't that much activity. But Meta, he came in, and started posting like crazy. His posts helped the other members become more active, and brought even more members to join, such as flamesinferno. He's kind of like the xan man of primitive TNZ. With him, TNZ kicked off and became an active forum. Meta was so active, that I promoted him to the now retired rank of Local Mod. He was elated, and continued to work really hard and help the forum. He also got me to change a lot of stupid things I had made due to inexperience and being a kid. For example, we took off a lot of the swear filters. I had it so you couldn't even say "suck". Wow. Meta was soon promoted to Moderator (or as it was called back then, KODZ) and then admin. There were a lot of controversies with him as admin, but now that I look back at them, they were extremely stupid. For example, he put "I like to eat hobo shit" in the sig of a member who came over here only to spam and flame, but everyone made a big deal of it. But anyway, he lost the admin position, but eventually gained it back once everything died down. He became more mature though, and didn't ever upset anyone again. As admin, Meta has known how to step up and be a leader. Last November, when I decided to "leave forums forever", he, along with Yoshi, took control of TNZ and did his best to keep it alive. He adjusted many of the rules. It was his idea to take off all the swear filters and for everyone to be able to talk about sex, etc. I backed it up when I returned 6 months later, but if it wasn't for him, it wouldn't have happened. Meta created the laid-back atmosphere which everyone says is what makes TNZ better than other forum. Recently, Meta has been extremely caught up in life. Most of you remember his posts about how he was almost failing school, and he barely had time to go on the computer. This is why he seems like he isn't that useful as an admin. But, everything I posted above was to show you that that is the farthest from the truth you can possibly get. Along with Yoshi and myself, Meta has contributed more to TNZ over the years than anyone else. His services will be extremely missed. He has told me, however, that he will continue to reside here as a Legendary Member. Meta, on behalf of TNZ, I thank you for everything you've done for the forum. It will never be forgotten. -walks outside and pours out some of his coke into the ground- this is a tribute to an admin i know a little of but will be missed, I know how terrible grades are and i hope you fix the problem with much ease (P.S. you can never have too many admins )
