1. Spam Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages (ex. lakjsdopjfasldgjsdfj!!!! ) Spam is not tolerated at TNZ unless it is in "Spam Heaven", where spamming is encouraged but posts there will not count towards your total post count. 2. Swearing Don't worry, all of your favorite four-letter words can be said here, except all of the incredibly vulgar ones. You know which ones I'm talking about. PM an admin for a complete list of words that are filtered. Words that are filtered will appear as "censored", and if you censor bypass you will be dealt with. 3. PMing PM stands for Private Message. As the name suggests, it is a message that can be sent to another user that can only be seen by the author and the recipient. If you have any questions, requests, etc., specifically for another user, use a PM. Advertising through PMs is forbidden. Users that receive ads via Private Message should report them by clicking the "report" button on the PM. Spam PM's are to be reported in a similar fashion. 4. Ranks Our ranks are visible via <a href="http://tnzforums.com/index.php?showtopic=15">The Rank Thread</a> on The Bulletin Board. If you rank up, you may post a celebration thread in the Spam Room ONLY, as they don't serve much of a purpose anywhere else. Ranks are not meant to give you a feeling of superiority to others, and you should not treat others with disrespect because of their post count. Any discrimination such as "N00b" or any other slander toward a more recent member of our forum only for having a lower rank than you will result in a lower rank. 5. Role Plays/Clans Role Plays are only allowed on the RPs/FanFics board or a user board, but Clans may go on their respective board. You MUST follow the RP or Clan's guidelines if you join. If an RP or Clan has rules unreasonable or that violate TNZ's rules, PM an Administrator or Zone Knight. 6. Reporting The report button is located at the top of each post in a thread. Only use this button if you see inappropriate language or anything else against TNZ's TOS. Please specify your screen name and problem. Only report a problem once. Do not abuse the report button. It is there for you to help us. Also, don't be a douche and tattle on every last post. 7. Official threads Official Threads may only be posted by Admins and Zone Knights. (ex. "Official Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion Thread") Sometimes an Admin or Zone Knight may like a thread that another member has posted and make it official themselves. 8. Flaming If you and another member get into an argument, argue RESPECTFULLY, do not turn it into a flamewar. If you see a flamewar that's in progress, DO NOT join, but report it. A flame is another word for an insult. You may NOT insult a member of this forum in a irrational or hateful way, unless, of course, they are banned, and the ridicule is justified based on the fact that he was banned on a moderator's word. 9. Personal Information Please, for your own safety, don't share personal information. You can if you want to, but we're just giving you a warning. You won't be punished, but when someone comes to your house and butt rapes you you'll see what we mean. 10. Alternative Accounts and Community Accounts Alternative accounts are when a certain user is using more than one account. Admins use these for testing, but all others may not use them or all of their accounts will be deleted. Community accounts are kind of the opposite; they're where one account is being used by more than one user. If you need help with something, you may give your password to an Admin and let them help, but other than that, these aren't allowed either, and will be deleted. 11. Banning and related TNZ holds the right to restrict your posting cababilities, suspend your account, or revoke your PM abilities if found necessary. If you are banned, do not use other forms of media (IM for instance) to repeatedly request reinstatement, for that will only make that chance smaller. If you are banned, do NOT re-register from another computer. You will be banned again, and again, and again. 12. Advertising Advertising is promoting another forum or a product. Advertising is not permitted outside its respectful forum (when you reach 96 posts) or in your sig (when you reach 48 posts). This rule does not include recommending a game or anything game-related. Comments breaking this rule will be edited out, and you will be punished. 13. Forms of Pornography Pornography will not be tolerated in the public of TNZ. What you share in your PMs is your own business. If porn is posted in a thread on TNZ, the poster of that porn will be given a warning. If behavior continues, the poster will be banned. Let's recap: porn + public = bad. Porn + PM = OK. 14. ROMs /ISOs/Warez(Piracy) ROMs are illegal, and will not be distributed on TNZ. For people who don't know what ROMs are, ROMs are images of cartdrige games that are played via emulator. ISOs are CD images of disc games that are played via emulator. Warez is any form of pirated computer software. None of these will be tolerated. 15. Bumping The word 'bump' means to raise a thread's profile by returning it to the top of the list of active threads. It is okay to do this once in a while if it is an official discussion thread, or you want people to see your topic, but in other cases, it is not okay. Please do not bump random threads that are over a month old. 16. Racism/Discrimination NO RACISM! Racism of any kind is not tolerated. This includes racial slurs, stereotypes, etc. The thread/post will be deleted, and the user banned or suspended, depending on the seriousness of the situation. Other forms of discrimination that include abuse against members of a different sex, religion, or sexual orientation are also prohibited. If you are harassed via PM, please report the PM to an Administrator and it will be dealt with right away. By being a member of TNZ you have agreed to these rules and have the responsibility to follow them rules at all times. Failure to do so may result in an immediate Ban, all final decisions are up to the staff. If you have a recommendation, or a problem with one of these rules, feel free to contact an Administrator.
